High level leadership comes with many challenges, demands, pressures, and isolation. You don't have to walk it alone.

In antiquity, a king's cupbearer was his most trusted advisor — a paid position of the highest order. He didn't manage the calendar or command the troops — he made sure the king wasn't being poisoned or distracted from the outside, so he could lead with clarity from the inside.

Today, poison may not enter the same way, but it is present nonetheless, finding its way through distraction, isolation, mounting pressure, and an incredibly hurried pace.

These leaders need the wisdom and discernment of a trusted confidant like never before.

The leaders who retain me typically do so when they find themselves facing decisions or seasons that benefit from trusted perspective, such as:

  • The need to make sense of patterns or dynamics that are felt but not yet fully understood
  • A leadership decision that carries outsized consequences
  • An organizational culture that feels fragile, unclear, or difficult to sustain
  • A season of transition that demands both strategic thinking and personal reflection

Most engagements begin with a 90-day arc — three months, two sessions each month, with support and resources between. After that, continuation is month-to-month, based on what's useful and what makes sense for both of us.

01 Listen & Diagnose
The first month is mostly intake. Sessions in this stage are focused on understanding your read of things — the people, the dynamics, the culture, or if the work is more personal, what you're navigating, any tension or pain you're carrying, and where you hope to go. I'll send a short set of reflection prompts before our first session to help frame the conversation. At the end of the month, I'll offer a written synthesis of what I'm hearing — themes, tensions, patterns, and the questions I think deserve attention.
02 Prioritize & Advise
With a clearer picture, we turn to what most needs attention. I'll offer perspective, guide you towards clarity on what needs to shift or change, and help you think through options before you act. Between sessions I typically send a thought exercise or resource relevant to what we're working through — something to sit with at your own pace.
03 Pressure Test & Plan
This stage is about testing the thinking that's developed. What holds? What are you still not seeing clearly? What decisions are on the horizon that deserve a second set of eyes before you commit? We'll have a clear sense of what you're building toward — whether personal or organizational — and how to sustain it. We'll also use this time to assess honestly whether continued engagement makes sense for both of us.

I served as a culture-builder and C-suite executive at Simple Modern as we grew from a startup to nearly $200M in revenue, fully bootstrapped, becoming one of the most recognized digitally native consumer products brands in the country.

The success was tangible. But the real reward was learning how to value what matters most amidst the leadership pressure — how to steward faith, family, and friendships, and leading others to do the same.

I have spent countless hours wrestling through the tensions of growth, scale, and achievement, while staying rooted and grounded in what is true, and building a company with integrity. Though still on the journey, I want to bring what I've learned to others.
